Book Talk with Author Michael Roosevelt

485 Railroad Ave

Join us for a powerful conversation about history, liberation, self-determination, and the continued relevance of the Black Panther Party’s Ten-Point Plan. In October 2026, the world will mark the 60th anniversary of the Black Panther Party’s Ten-Point Plan. To honor this historic milestone, Black Panther Party Ten-Point Plan: Liberatory Journal will be released in February 2026—a reimagined, practical, and participatory tool designed for our times. At a moment when civil and human rights are under unprecedented attack—echoing Nikole Hannah-Jones’ reminder that six years of progress can be undone in mere months—this journal offers both a restorative justice practice and a liberatory framework. It reframes the Ten-Point Plan as a living, interactive guide aligned with the Panthers’ vision of survival, self-determination, and community transformation. This 135-page journal is designed to help each of us reflect deeply on our own liberation and the role we play in bringing it to life. With prompts, guided questions, suggested answers, and lined pages for reflection, it functions as a practical companion for personal growth and collective transformation.
